Notes

Special needs schools focusing on intellectual development are attended by students whose learning behavior and developmental status are significantly below the age-appropriate developmental norm.

In addition to cognitive impairments, they exhibit significant developmental delays in language, motor skills, perception, and social behavior.

Students with intellectual disabilities are usually multiply disabled. Intellectual disabilities are often accompanied by physical disabilities and/or sensory impairments and/or extreme behavioral disorders and/or speech impairments.

The school operates as a full-day school.

Students fulfill their general education requirements until the end of the upper secondary level. In the subsequent vocational practice stage, they meet their vocational education requirements.

Almost all school graduates start their working lives in workshops for people with disabilities thereafter.
